4G Sample Code

Edgehax 4G LTE Cat-1 module enables cutting edge IoT application development with a compute, network and storage on a single board. To get started with the board follow the below steps:
  1. Go to GitHub repo https://github.com/edgehax/4G-LTE-MODULE-SIMCOM-A7672S-ESP32
  2. Down the sketch file locally
  3. This sample program enables you to test three critical tasks:
    1. 4G Networ Connect: 4G module configuration to specific Sim card provider Airtel/Jio/BSNL etc.
    2. Cloud Sync via API Call: Creates a json of a modem info and send this json object via HTTP request to a cloud server (Pipedream test server - Free to use).
    3. SMS Test: Sends an SMS to a given phone number in the sketch file.
  4. Upload the sketch to the 4G board using Arduino IDE.
  5. Remember to select the board as ESP32 Dev in Arduino IDE.
  6. One the program is loaded to the board then connect a 9V 2A DC power adapter. This is must required as the 4G modem requires 2A current during its peak operations.
  7. You should be able to get an SMS to the phone number mentioned in the sketch file and as well an HTTP cloud sync call to a test pipe dream URL or to your own cloud URL set in the sketch.
